The integration workbench has two components: The XML Listener, a SOAP based endpoint which enables you to get and set data from Aprimo in an XML format, and the XML Publisher, an event publishing service that enables an external web service to receive event broadcasts from Aprimo.
You should only use the Integration Workbench if you already have an integration that leverages it or you are on a non-SaaS version of Aprimo. For new integrations, you should use the REST API or Webhooks. The REST API has a larger feature set than the XML Listener and provides additional capabilities. For example, you can download an attachment via the REST API, but not via the XML Listener. Also, the REST API supports user context, unlike the XML Listener. Webhooks are a more efficient, lightweight event-based web callout feature than the XML Publisher.
The Integration Workbench may not be accessible in Aprimo Cloud by default. If you need to port an existing integration that uses the Integration Workbench to Aprimo Cloud, please contact your account manager.
Below are the guides for the integration workbench for older versions of Aprimo.
