The REST API will allow you to perform 15 requests per second, with a maximum requests per day of 25,000 + (1,000 * # of user licenses), up to a maximum of 1,000,000 calls a day. If you are performing certain operations that are resource-intensive, you may adversely affect performance of your system. This includes actions such as creating activities with large amounts of business rules, creating projects with large workflow templates, or starting projects. Performing a large amount of these operations rapidly may result in increased processing time for these operations.
