Report Distribution

Introduction​

The Report Distribution module allows you to schedule flat file outputs of Aprimo Reports to an FTP/SFTP site or via email. This feature is ideal for:

  • Using your own reporting tools on Aprimo data.
  • Joining Aprimo data with other organizational data.

By sending files to an FTP/SFTP site, you can automate data retrieval, load it into an EDW or database, and integrate it with your reporting tools.

Creating a Report Distribution​

  1. Prepare the Report:
    Create Aprimo Reports containing the data you want to export.
  2. Set Up Distribution:
    Navigate to:
    System Administration > System Tools > Analysis Administration > Distribution Management.
    Configure the FTP/SFTP details for your report distribution.

Security Recommendations​

  • Use SFTP: Secure data transfers at the transport layer by using SFTP instead of FTP.
  • PGP Encryption (Optional):
    • Encrypt files at the file level for added security.
    • Steps:
      1. Navigate to System Administration > System Tools > Security > PGP Encryption Manager.
      2. Upload your public key (do not upload your private key).
      3. Select the public key when creating a report distribution.
    • The files sent to the SFTP/FTP site will be encrypted with your public key and can be decrypted with your private key.
