Configuring Data Types​

DateTime​

When creating or editing a DateTime field definition, consider the following options:

  1. Use UTC:

    • Auto-generated values are stored in UTC.
    • Values in the admin’s Assets view are displayed in UTC.
    • Values in the DAM UI are converted to the user’s time zone.

  2. DateTime Format:

    • The field definition allows configuration of a specific format.
    • The field will only accept and return values in the configured format.

Time​

  1. Time Format:

    • The Time Pattern field in the field definition allows configuration of a specific format.
    • The field will accept and return values only in the specified format.

  2. Time Zone Considerations:

    • Aprimo does not convert Time field values to the user’s configured time zone.
    • To avoid confusion, include the time zone in the field label.
      Example: "Last Updated Time (PST)".
